Welcome to my music collection! The first bands that I discovered as a teen were The Beatles and The Who. That expanded to Pink Floyd, Bob Dylan, Led Zeppelin and all things classic rock. In 2005, I rediscovered World Music.

On An Island, Endless Wire and Chaos And Creation In The Backyard. David Gilmour, The Who and Paul McCartney gave rock something exciting to talk about in 2005-2006. Chaos And Creation In The Backyard shows a brooding Paul McCartney. The former Beatle exposed his emotional side like never before on cd. Chaos and Creation is a great balance to Paul's usual happy-go-lucky lyrics and melodies.

On An Island is David Gilmour's 2006 masterpiece. Gilmour's songs about mature life and love coupled with what only he can do to the guitar and the result is the best of his three solo albums. The music has the ambience and space that you expect to hear from the Pink Floyd guitarist. I love hearing David Crosby and Graham Nash on the song On An Island.

Endless Wire is The Who's first cd since It's Hard. The best Who cd since Who Are You. The songs are typical Townshend genius - a story with The Who's best rhythms and power chords. 19 new Who songs (plus two extended versions of two of the songs) to get used to! The story of three musicians dreaming and working together is easy to relate to. The birds on the cover take you back to Tommy. I love listening to a modern Who singing about portals, video games, and gathering "wire and angels to entertain immortals on the endless wire, across electronic sea."

I hope they keep creating music!
